Free (and Legal!) software.

I thought this might be useful for some folks. Free software from Microsoft. Its a rather laong list, mostly made for programmers  including programs like: Visual studio express, Kinnect for windows SDK, Windows Phone 7 app hub, and the list just goes on. The site basically reads If you're a student you can get free software, though when I downloaded the software myself it didn't ask for too much verification, aside from my email.
